1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Learnindie. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using the platform, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Accounts & sign-in
Learnindie uses Outseta to manage user accounts and memberships. You may register using your email address or sign in via Google Sign-In, facilitated through Outseta. By using Google Sign-In, you are also subject to Google's Terms of Service.
New users are automatically added to a free membership tier, which gives access to free content and resources on the platform at no cost.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at jasontomlee@learnindie.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- You may not share, transfer, or sell your account to another person.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Courses & access
When you enroll in a course on Learnindie, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view that course content for personal, non-commercial use.
- Free content is accessible to all registered users on the free membership tier.
- Access to paid courses is granted upon successful payment.
- Course availability may change — we reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue content. Where possible, we will give reasonable notice.
- You may not download, reproduce, redistribute, or resell course materials unless explicitly permitted.
- Certificates of completion, where offered, are for personal use only and do not constitute professional accreditation unless stated.
4. Payments & refunds
All transactions on Learnindie are processed securely through our payment provider integrated with Outseta. By making a purchase, you agree to provide accurate billing information.
- Free tier: No payment is required to access free content. You may upgrade to a paid plan at any time.
- Pricing: All prices are listed in USD unless stated otherwise and are inclusive of any applicable taxes where required by law.
- Refunds: We offer a 14-day refund on course purchases. To request a refund, contact us at jasontomlee@learnindie.com within 14 days of purchase.
- Paid subscriptions: When paid subscription plans are offered, you may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no partial refunds are issued for unused periods.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Learnindie in any way that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Infringes the intellectual property rights of Learnindie or any third party.
- Involves sharing, distributing, or reselling course materials without authorization.
- Involves scraping, automated access, or attempting to reverse-engineer the platform.
- Involves harassing, threatening, or harming other users or instructors.
- Involves uploading malicious code, spam, or deceptive content.
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to our systems or another user's account.
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.
6. Intellectual property
All content on Learnindie — including course videos, text, graphics, logos, and code — is owned by Learnindie or its instructors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property law.
- You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
- The Learnindie name, logo, and brand assets are trademarks of Learnindie. You may not use them without prior written consent.
- Feedback or suggestions you provide to us may be used to improve the platform without any obligation to compensate you.
7. User-generated content
If you post content on Learnindie (e.g., forum posts, reviews, assignments, or comments), you grant Learnindie a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the platform.
- You retain ownership of your content but are responsible for ensuring it does not infringe on third-party rights.
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, without notice.
- Do not post personal data of others, offensive material, or content that promotes illegal activity.
8. Third-party services
Learnindie integrates with the following third-party services. By using our platform, you acknowledge that these services have their own terms and privacy policies:

We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party services linked from our platform.
9. Disclaimers
Learnindie provides educational content for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that completing any course will lead to specific outcomes, employment, or professional certification unless explicitly stated.
The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any content on the platform. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Learnindie and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of earnings, or loss of opportunity.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to Learnindie in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Upon termination, your access to paid courses will end and we are not obligated to refund any amounts paid unless a valid refund request is submitted per Section 4.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, with or without prior notice. If we terminate your account without cause, we will refund any unused prepaid access on a pro-rata basis.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Sacramento County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Learnindie after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
